President's Message on FPDA Rebranding
Dear FPDA Members:
Those of you who were unable to attend this year’s Industry Summit and the FPDA Annual Meeting of Members missed out on hearing about some exciting changes the association is making. In addition to launching a new mentorship program to foster young executives in the motion control industry, we provided a sneak peek at new branding for our 46-year-old association.
Earlier this year, the Executive Committee held a strategic planning session in which we reflected on how we see FPDA today and where we see ourselves over the next decade. Based on this discussion, we crafted a new mission statement that speaks to the value FPDA provides to its 140 distributor and manufacturer members: “To equip motion control solution providers with tools that drive growth, profitability, and innovation.” As our Immediate Past President Kevin Kampe says, we exist to serve as champions for the motion control industry.
With this new vision, we decided it was also time for a new look. Working with the very talented (and patient) FPDA staff, we sifted through several design options, settled on the clear choice, and fine-tuned the details.
The new wordmark is bold, streamlined, and includes a tagline emphasizing the work FPDA members provide to their clients: “Motion Control Solutions Network.” Not only does the logo reflect modernity, but the tagline speaks directly to what our members do: solve problems with the latest innovative technologies.
I wish to extend my thanks to the Board of Directors on their work to revitalize our mission statement and branding, and especially Kevin Kampe for spearheading this initiative. A thank you also goes out to our incredible staff who are dedicated to our organization and our member companies.
