FPDA Webinar Series: The Unity Paradox

Creating Teams with Unparalleled Success

Jenn DonahueUnderstanding and addressing the unity paradox can lead to stronger, more resilient teams. In today’s world, success often results from a high level of unity within the organization. Yet in a society where individualism is sought after and highly valued, the two concepts appear to be at odds with each other.

As leaders, many of us are struggling with retention, recruitment, managing change, and employee engagement.  With her three-component approach, she delves into the core elements of contemporary leadership—self-awareness, team dynamics, and trust—to discover how these elements can create coherent teams with a common objective.

Jenn Donahue, PhD, Founder, Dare to Rise, is a retired US Navy Captain and former Commodore for an 1,800 personnel Regiment.  She is also a civil engineer who works on large scale, high profile geotechnical projects. Over her 27-year military career, Jenn has built a bridge across the Euphrates River in the midst of the Iraq war, commanded an 800-personnel Battalion in Afghanistan, and constructed combat outposts in the middle of deserts filled with insurgents.

Jenn passionately helps others overcome the obstacles that prevent them from achieving their grandest dreams and most ambitious goals. She is an international keynote speaker with speeches including leadership and mindset.

Today, Jenn is the Founder of JL Donahue Engineering, Inc. and Dare to Rise. She also lectures at UC Berkeley, UCLA, and CalPoly.
